- Which is the quietest next generation system?
Have you ever wondered which of the next generation consoles is the noisest? I hadn't, but somebody has wondered about it enough to run a few tests to erase any doubts people might have. The first test is the location test. The tester believed that maybe the location had something to do with the noise, as when the consoles turns hot, the fans turn on to reduce the heat. However, he didn't quite get the chance to move around his consoles to conduct this test. But, let's move on, there are other methods.

- IPTV specific Xbox 360 in the making? Quite Possibly,
Microsoft's Aaron Greenberg says that they are tinkering with the idea of a new specially configured Xbox 360 that would include IPTV and DVR features. On the subject of a larger HDD and DVR features, Greenberg has said "clearly the current way the Xbox 360 is designed is not for that ... we did not build this box to be a High Definition DVR." He thinks that users will at some point want to purchase an IPTV upgrade or IPTV specific 360 configuration. Besides this, he has said a larger HDD is neccessary for DVR functions only and not IPTV. So while Microsoft has not given us a positive nod for a larger HDD, they haven't denied it either.

- American soldiers in Iraq get a chance to try out Halo 3
It seems that being in the army does have some perks. The Halo developers have decided to give the American soldiers posted in Iraq a treat by letting them have a go at Halo 3. Maybe this is their new year's gift to the soldiers. Not only this, but the developers are also giving out various games like Gears of War. Frankly, if I was a soldier, FPS games would not be my genre of choice. But hey, to each their own. These soldiers say that the newest version is super cool, especially the weapons. The game was set up for 3 full days, and the people had access round the clock.

- Call of Duty 3 for Xbox 360
Call of Duty is far too similar to COD 2, which in turn is quite like COD. Why then do people keep coming back for more? Because it is just that good or at least for those who are fans of the genre. As far as visual go, this game is amazing and even I have to admit that. COD 3 takes place during the World War II during the Normandy Breakout. Basically what you do is drive the German out of France. Yes, the story is quite like the one before, but what were you expecting? One fantastic feature of COD 3 is its improved multiplayer mode.

Not only has the Wii sold 3 million units, but the newest Zelda game has managed to sell a staggering 2 million copies. This is indeed, a golden year for Nintendo. And they sure as hell deserve it. But Nintendo's success doesn't end here. The DS has sold over 35 million units by now. Pretty impressive huh? Take that for a comeback Sony and Microsoft!

Gears of war is an excellent action game for Xbox 360. It is a team based multiplayer- game and this attracts a lot of gamers. GOW is a game of hide and seek, only with a lot of heart stopping action. The hero of this game is a soldier called Marcus Fenix and the baddy is a force called Locust. The graphics are outstanding, and could possibly be one of the major reasons that rope in players. Another awesome feature of the game is its soundtrack.
