- European release dates for the 60GB PS3
-
Sony's PS3 has fallen flat on its face so far. What Sony need now is to make some noise before the European launch of the console which is scheduled for 23rd March. And they are doing just that, but for all the wrong reasons. Firstly, we are all aware of the sky high prices of the high end version, and for those of you who aren't aware, it will be available for 425 pounds in England and 599 euros in the rest of europe. The europeans are being taking for a ride, wouldn't you say? Another black mark is that they will be releasing only the 60GB system. People say it's purely to rake in some (well, lots) of extra bucks.
But analysts say that this is because games need greater storage capacity with their high-definition graphics than the games of yesterday. So, the 20GB model just won't cut it now. But then, why is the basic 20GB version available in the United States of America and Japan?! On a brighter note, the high end system will launch for $776 in Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. Go get it first thing on the 23rd of March! Or even better, get yourself the Wii.
