Europe sees incredibly high PS3 prices

plan_euro_money_corel.jpgWe've talked about how the PS3 will be available is Europe for a whopping £425 (which is $838) this March, and yes as a way of making more money, only the 60GB version will be on sale initially. This time however, we can't blame Sony as this ridiculously high price was set by retailers. Sony seems to be getting punches from every direction at the moment.

It's a wonder who will be dumb enough to buy the PS3 at such a crazy price. I mean the Americans aren't buying it for far lesser ($500-$600)! In fact, some are returning their systems to the stores. Just to show the insanity of prices, here are some details of what the situation is like in Scandinavia :

Denmark: 5500 DKK ($955 USD)
Sweden: 6500 SEK ($926 USD)
Norway: 6000 NKR ($1,009 USD)
Finland: 5000 FIM ($1,086 USD)

Poor Europeans, it's not just the PS3 that is selling at an incredibly high price, even the Wii is available for $350 dollars. So, if you are a fan of video games and live in Europe..you might want to consider moving continents!
