PS2 is responsible for teaching a runaway boy to drive?

playstation2_logo.jpgA 9 year old boy from Seattle has made a habit of running away from his Tacoma home that he dislikes by stealing cars and getting on planes. It is a wonder how Semaj Booker got through airport security to board flights. Southwest Airlines and other authorities assure us that they are looking into the matter. The readon for this kid running away is because he intensely hates his neighbourhood and is afraid of a sex offender who lives close. Semaj stole a neighbour's Acura, but fotunately he was spotted by the police. They had to pursue him for a while till the engine of the Acura blew.

And this is not the first time he has stolen a car, it has happened before and it could happen again. The mother had requested authorities to not bring him back home, in case he steals again. However, they couldn't keep him in Pierce County's juvenile detention center as he is far too young, and the population of the center could further influence him to commit such crimes.

Semaj's mother believes he learnt to drive on his PS2. Hmm..if that's the case then I wasted my money on driving lessons. I'm unsure if he learnt how to drive on his PS2, but it certainly is possible. I remember watching a little documentary in which a man learnt to fly a real plane by playing Flight Stimulator. Maybe Semaj was influenced by a combination of Gran Turismo and GTA?
