Okami for PS2

920500_20060918_screen005.jpgOkami is by far one of the best games out on the PS2, and I don't just mean visually. I would go as far as to call it PS2's version of Zelda. Okami is an unique gaming experience that requires to you to play the role of a white wolf goddess, Amaterasu. The goddess is accompanied by a tiny wandering artist on her many quests. The idea involved in this game is truly original, as you have to restore the world with your 'celestial brush' techniques. What you have to do is battle the dark forces that have robbed the world of it's beauty, and you go about this with the 13 different brush techniques you learn.

This game is epic-sized with a few awesome bosses, while others are less than impressive. You will find many puzzles and side quests in Okami that are sure to entertain you. The only slight complaint I have here is that the game is a tad too easy. But that doesn't make it bad, in fact it is one of the best games you will ever come across. The gameplay is simply superb, and I had a total blast playing it. If you like action adventure games, then this one will be right up your alley. It's got everything from fishing, digging, archery, getting bosses drunk and everything else under the sun that you can think of. However, I must mention that there is a lot of text dialogue involved, and you cant skip reading this as the voices are just gibberish. A minor annoyance this, and the game is so awe inpiring that you are sure to forgive them for the terrible voices. Enough said, time to go play Okami!
