Sony promoting Nintendo?

thumb_ops2wii.jpgSony has really out-done itself this time. Wasn't falling flat on its face after the launch of the PS3 enough? Hasn't Sony had enough of widely popular belief that it has lost to Nintendo's Wii? Apparently not. This time they have gone as far as to promote the Wii on their own site! Just because you don't have a description for the PS2 version of Metal slug doesn't mean you advertise the Wii one! Don't believe us? Take a look at the following image.

PS2 is responsible for teaching a runaway boy to drive?

playstation2_logo.jpgA 9 year old boy from Seattle has made a habit of running away from his Tacoma home that he dislikes by stealing cars and getting on planes. It is a wonder how Semaj Booker got through airport security to board flights. Southwest Airlines and other authorities assure us that they are looking into the matter. The readon for this kid running away is because he intensely hates his neighbourhood and is afraid of a sex offender who lives close. Semaj stole a neighbour's Acura, but fotunately he was spotted by the police. They had to pursue him for a while till the engine of the Acura blew.

Bully for PS2

928128_20061018_screen043.jpgBully is a game that has made its way into many Top Ten Video Games of 2006 lists. Why? Because it is just that good. The plot is pretty simple, Jimmy Hopkins a 15 year old boy is dumped into a boarding school, has trouble adjusting, gets bullied, yada yada..getting the drift? Rockstar gives you a chance to stand up against these bullies, and teach them a lesson. The story found here is quite unique..not in real life, but in the video game world. Okami for PS2

920500_20060918_screen005.jpgOkami is by far one of the best games out on the PS2, and I don't just mean visually. I would go as far as to call it PS2's version of Zelda. Okami is an unique gaming experience that requires to you to play the role of a white wolf goddess, Amaterasu. The goddess is accompanied by a tiny wandering artist on her many quests. The idea involved in this game is truly original, as you have to restore the world with your 'celestial brush' techniques. What you have to do is battle the dark forces that have robbed the world of it's beauty, and you go about this with the 13 different brush techniques you learn.

Havok Licenses Physics Engine To Atari's Path of Neo

Havok, a supplier of cross-platform middleware solutions, is the physics engine behind the latest installment of video games to accompany the popular The Matrix movie series, specifically the just-released multi-console title The Matrix: Path Of Neo. According to the company, Atari's wholly owned Shiny Entertainment development studio chose Havok Physics because it needed to create an immersive world for gamers to play as Neo, the central character, and relive his most important scenarios from the complete film trilogy, including the original film, The Matrix. Havok Physics allows a wide range of objects to move and interact with the same sense of mass and motion as they do in real life, changing the outcome of the game from moment to moment based on a player’s interactions with the world.
