Cat tormented by Wii-mote based Missile launcher

wiimote.jpgWatch how the Wii continues to redefine life. Seen here is a pristine example of another inventive use of the Wii-mote. Using it to remote control USB missilies while a hapless cat tries to figure out what exactly is going on. Not that it is bothering the cat, perhaps she too is wondering how exactly did 'Fuzzy Alchemist' manage to get the Wii-mote to do this. The trick lies in creating a custom Wii-mote script as is evident from the first few scenes of the attached video. The USB missile controller is then used via Bluetooth to change direction, take aim and fire.

Of course, those of you who are really interested in the Wii-mote and the other roles that it can fulfill will realise that while Nintendo promises to fix those straps, we need something more solid for the Wii-mote to hang on to
