Tekuteku Angel Pocket pedometer, reason # 359823 to pull out your Nintendo DS

tekutekuds.jpgAre the japanese making a deliberate effort at converting gamers into fitness freaks? First, Nintendo comes out with the Wii which requires flailing your arms around, and now Tekuteku Angel Pocket pedometer can be synched with the DS. This run-of-the-mill white and blue pedometer is, well..not so run-of-the-mill after all due to its ability to upload data to the Nintendo DS. This makes it possible for the DS to keep track of your 'caloric output and general health readings'. At least the parents can be assured that the Japanese market is not just after your kids souls! They do care!

A cute feature of the pedometer is that as you walk, the little figure in the Tekuteku Angel Pocket shrinks in size. They should have also included a feature that makes the figure baloon up if you don't walk for long periods of time. But seriously, if Tekuteku doesn't motivate you to excercise, we don't know what will!
