- Nintendo's DS MP3 player is all set to hit the market
-

Nintendo seems to be on a roll with its release of the Wii and other add-ons on the same day. The Japanese gaming giant appears to be determined to match up to its competitors and not be left behind this time around. It is evident from the fact that Nintendo has decided picked 8th December as the launch date of its newest add-on : the 'Nintendo Mp3 Player'. They don't seem to have put a lot of thought into coming up with creative a name, have they?
This SD card based player appears to be self-sufficient, but depends on the DS for power and controls. An additional feature of the player is that it has its own headphone port, which means good news for all Game Boy Advance/Advance SP/Micro lineup users. Certainly a bonus, isn't this?
We don't have any confirmation of the price as of now, however, it is safe to stick with the €30 figure. Nintendo won't be including any SDcard in the pack, but we are sure you can conjure up one easily enough. Word on the street is that the interface designed for this handy little player is quite unusual, and might turn out to be something worth keeping an eye out for.
An Ipod or PSP this is not, nevertheless it is a step in the right direction by Nintendo.
