Lara Croft is going mobile again

tomb_raider_legend.jpgThere's some excellent news for Tomb Raider or more specifically Lara Croft fans. Eidos Interactive has anounced that Tomb Raider Legend, the mobile version will be introduced on cell phones in December, exclusively through Orange till the beginning to January 7. So, if you dont subscribe to this European carrier, now would be a good time.

There have been three previous mobile versions of a typical Tomb Raider adventure, and they have all been quite successful which is a good sign for the latest version. I mean if Lara Croft can't rope in customers, who can? This 3D mobile version of the game promises to give the players that what is usually offered by consoles. Haven't guessed yet? You can jump, sidestep, roll, shoot, climb, and use the grappling hook. Yay, the console experience on a mobile phone.

"The mobile phone is the biggest selling games platform in the UK, with people regularly enjoying action and strategy games for entertainment. Now that handsets offer such improved performance, we are able to provide a more immersive gaming experience for the mobile generation," said Eidos New Media and IT Director Simon Protheroe. Well, Mr. Protheroe you might just be right.
