- Multiplayer cell phone game Kodo - deemed to be the next rage
Swedish game developer Jadestone is today happy to announce the release of Kodo from its confinement. Following extensive research and evaluation, this digital life form is now deemed to be sufficiently controllable to meet the public. Unfortunately, it has not been possible to contain the Kodo effect. People are already crowding around mobiles to eat their opponents before they get eaten themselves.Using just one button each player controls his Kodo in this fast paced game that's all about being the last survivor. The game is the world's first where there can be as many simultaneous players as there are available buttons on the phone. With more than six players things start to become difficult, but the theoretical limit on some phone models is a staggering 26 players!

- XEG comes out with cool gamepad
Game pads for cell phones are not a new concept per se, but the latest ones keep getting better and better. The XEG gamepad, also has the same standard design. It holds the phone in the centre of the gamepad and has controls on the sides. There is a directional keypad on the left hand side while there are the four action keys on the right. Additionally there are keys at the top corners , just like in an Xbox controller which help in certain games. The phone is held in the centre by 4 "hooks" which come out from the game pad. Additionally, the gamepad and handset are connected by a data cord (not all handsets are compatible as a result and once must check to ensure compatibility before buying). Its easy to see that the XEG gamepad is a must buy for serious gamers. Thanks to its small size, its also easy to carry around the device.- November 12, 2005 - 1:53 AM | Related Entries - Mobile | Comments (0)
