Indiana Jones enters the twenty first century in style

Being created for the latest consoles - The Xbox 360 and the Playstation 3 means that even Indy gets to shake a leg. The game will be an action based mystery and has been created with help from George Lucas. There are several allies to help Jones along the way but to make it tough for him to progress, he has his fare share of enemies too. The chief differences that are easily noticeable is how realistic the game feels.

The characters replicate human movements thoroughly. If characters stumble, they'll attempt to maintain their balance, for example; they'll brace themselves for falls, and grab on to nearby ledges to save themselves from doom.

The result, according to LucasArts, is "a series of experiences and payoffs that will never be the same twice." The technology is called as "euphoria" and has been obtained from NaturalMotion. Complementing euphoria will be Pixelux Entertainment's Digital Molecular Matter (DMM) technology, which brings a level of realism to next-gen games never seen before by making completely interactive environments that react as they would in real life. From crumbling walls to shattering glass and even swaying organic plant life, in-game objects have material properties that behave realistically all in real time.

The game which has been christened as the Indiana Jones 2007 will be out next year for both of these consoles. Weapons that Indy may use to overpower his opponents include his fists, his whip and his trusty revolver.
