Top Ten Video Games Of 2006

B000ERVMI8.01._SCTZZZZZZZ_V64986873_.jpgAmazon's Editors have put together a list of the Top Ten Video Games for the Year 2006. There have been a number of good games out this year. It has been a year that will be marked in the history of video games for the release of the two much awaited next genration consoles, PS3 and Wii. The list of the top games for the year is as follows :

1) Super Mario Bros.by Nintendo or America. Yay, Mario wins again! But seriously did you expect anything else up here?

2) The Legend Of Zelda : Twilight Princess by Nintendo Of America. Okay, well maybe this could have been the number one game. But hey, it's come in a close second! This is one of the best Zelda games apparently, but nothing can beat Ocarina of time.

3) Okami by Capcom. This is my personal favourite game of the year. Visually it was absolutely stunning, and I enjoyed every minute of gathering the 13 brush techniques to fill colour in the cursed world.

4) Elder Scrolls 4 : Oblivion by 2k games. I'm a complete fan of RPG's and it seems that this is undoubtedly the best in this genre for the year 2006. Mental Note : Must give this game a try.

5) Gears of War by Microsoft. This is one of the best games of the year as far as the graphics go. Besides this, the game has made some awesome use of weapons, especially the chainsaw.

6) Brain Age by Nintendo. Seems like this game appeals to people of all ages alike.

7) Guitar hero 2 by Activision. This one is definitely a party game as it is all set to rock out. The game has a better list of songs than the original version, and if you like guitars and rock music and own a PS2, go get this.

8) Metroid Prime Hunters by Nintendo of America. It is said that this is by far the best FPS game any handheld console has to offer. You are free to disagree if you want.

9) Dead Rising by Capcom. It is one of those gory games that involve shooting zombies. I haven't tried it yet, but I think I'll pass.

10) Final Fantasy XII by Square Enix. An excellent game, with a great story-line. It was totally worth the wait. If you are a fan of the FF series, then you can't miss this one. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
