Out of the games listed above, the one particularly great game happens to be Resistence. It might just tempt people to buy themselves a PS3. Other enticing games are Tekken 5, Call of Duty 3, Need For Speed Carbon and Oblivion, but that's just my opinion. Will these games play a major role is getting the PS3 to sell? Only time will tell.

People say it's purely to rake in some (well, lots) of extra bucks.
But analysts say that this is because games need greater storage capacity with their high-definition graphics than the games of yesterday. So, the 20GB model just won't cut it now. But then, why is the basic 20GB version available in the United States of America and Japan?! On a brighter note, the high end system will launch for $776 in Africa, Australia, New Zealand and the Middle East. Go get it first thing on the 23rd of March! Or even better, get yourself the Wii.

This is bad news for people like me who don't want to be bombarded by ads while playing games, but good news for the various advertisers of course. If rumours are to be believed, a deal could take place between the two companies next week itself.

These ads will be most popular in car and sport games, because it is highly possible that they will be featured on billboards in the games. Reports suggest that Electronic Arts is all for this marketing idea, and many other developers could follow suit.

I agree, that this will not be very inconvenient in sport games and such. But, it's just annoying to know that you cannot escape advertisments! Not even if you seek refuge in the vitual world!

Thank god for this, as buying those batteries was proving to be a real pain. All you need to do now is plug in up to 2 Wiimotes in the dock, and keep a check on those red and green LED lights to know the status battery charge left. And as a bonus with this, Nyko offers battery covers to avoid a situation of you throwing your remotes into your TV or friends. The charge station is availalble for $29.99.
Nyko has also come up with a Sensor Bar that actually lets you stand about twenty five feet away from the console and still play your games. This minimises the chances of ruining your TV screen huh? It is a good deal for those of your who have wall mounted televisions as it can be placed practically anywhere. The price of this device is set at $19.99, and it runs for about 30 hours on four AA batteries. Pretty sweet deal.

Nyko seems to be on a roll, as their range of products doesn't end with the Sensor bar. They are also to launch the Wii HD-Link. This gives a resolution of 480p. It will be available for a mere $19.99. So, go splurge.

      Base dB testing
This test had no games running. Here are the results :

The results for Xbox 360 read 55 dB

So far, the Wii seems to be leading with its dB reading of around 51.

After playing games on the hard drive

The tester playing Live Arcade Titles on the 360 and Tekken 5 on the PS3. The 360 showed no change in dB, but the PS3 was a different story. Now the dB reading was 64, quite an increase don't you think?

Media Games Test

This test includes running a media based game on each console, and then measuring the dB.

He played Gears of War on the Xbox 360, and the sound output read 61 dB.

After running Ridge Racer 7 on the PS3, the dB reading was 65, an increase of 11 dB.

After loading up Wii sports on the Wii, the results were quite surprising. The sound output increased from 51 dB to 70 dB.

In conclusion, the Xbox is the quietest of them all. The PS3 does make a fair bit of noise, and Wii is the noisiest after loading up games.
